to - unexpectedly - feel like a desirable woman for a time.
well... an appealing feeling - ended up in smoke.
...
sounds dramatic.
it isn't, really.
as i've never in my life felt especially desireable - womanwise at least - it's just going back to normal.
you might think this actually is absurd - a number of people told me so - but it has a certain history.
1. looks were never aprecciated greatly in my family - it was all about brains!
2. when i was 16, a rather important person in my life told me, that i looked rather pretty but - unfortunately - had no sex appeal.
3. therefore, i suspected the first two men in my life to be rather crazy to actually be "physically attracted" by me.
4. then one came who was rather indifferent about the question of being attractive - and told me i wasn't beautiful enough anyway.
5. the next one seemed to like me but lost interest and kept it that way for a number of years - until i had enough and was happy for him to find out about the fact that he hadn't had any "such" desire for me for a long time.
6. then one came who ... well... was the reason for the feeling mentioned above. but he lost interest as well and ended up in coming close to even feeling repelled instead of attracted. nice!
so, here i am - where i started.
i admit, there were people - even men - who told me i was wrong. but they never seemed to be able (or ready?) to prove it. rather the opposite. (see above) so - tell me - how could i believe - really believe - if someone tells me that i'm not right about the way i seem to appear to men?
anyway... it will be ok.
it'll just take some time.
I recognize the feeling - although my 'history' in this matter is not as long as yours, it contains the same components. The only thing that (very very slowly) started to convince me otherwise, i.e. of the possibility that I could sometimes be attractive at least to some men, was meeting Mr. Right. Don't know if anything else can help that matter. But let me say this: You're one of the most beautiful women I know, honestly.
AntwortenLöschenthank you. really. :-)
AntwortenLöschen(at the moment i'm - again - in a phase of having given up any thought of finding mr. right, ever. sounds very negative, i know - but seems healthier than waiting - to me at least...)
